No problems just great service

I feel compelled to add to my previous review, because i had another appt with Tricia in Mendota this past Wednesday. I recd my new right ear mold, which I love. It fits snug and still has the extra power. Tricia made some very beneficial adjustments and we discussed my questions or issues. After we spoke Tricia gave me her thoughts and explained and answered every question. She made me feel valued and unique in regards to my hearing loss. I now realize my hearing aides are picking up sounds I don't think I ever knew I was missing. 2 examples and I'll finish; walking along country roadside with only the lightest breeze i can hear the leaves of the corn touching one another. I can hear the dehumidifier a room away from where I am sitting. These things may seem like common place sounds for the hearing, but to someone who has not heard these things in decades it feels almost like a miracle. Tricia is helping me to identify these sounds by listening to me and my descriptions of what i am hearing. Thank you all! I feel like i am living a new life. I just can't say enough great things about Tricia and everyone at Hammers Hearing Care Center. I have been to Mendota, IL. I have worn a hearing aide in my right ear for more than 20 years for severe hearing loss. I had missed an appt in Albuquerque where I have lived since 1998. I was born and raised in Illinois. I found Hammers by looking for a hearing center that had my 'StarKey Audibel' hearing aide. I feel blessed to have found Hammers. I knew I was struggling to hear with my "good" left ear and my 2 year old hearing aide in my right. I think i had resigned myself to hearing loss. Tricia did a very thorough hearing exam on me on my 2nd appt after they had worked me in and did a mini exam at my 1st appt around Memorial day. I'll finish by telling you she gave me a new hearing for my left ear, and placed a new hearing aide to the mold in my right. I am a changed person, hearing sounds I haven't heard in 15 years or more. I'm not avoiding social events, visiting with friends. I no longer have to determine where I will sit on airplanes, dinner parties, etc. so I have the important stuff on my left. I no longer turn my head when someone is speaking with me so they are talking into my left ear. Tricia also gave me so much information about the hearing aides that I didn't know or may have been told and didn't remember. I feel very informed and valued as a client with Hammers. I need to mention that I'll be returning to the Albuquerque and CO Springs area, but will always return to Mendota for my hearing needs.

Very thorough exam with each step of exam explained completely as we proceeded.

It was a bit of a drive, but worth it. Getting my hearing checked, instead of relying on over the counter hearing aids. Found out my hearing loss was worse than I thought, but could be helped. Not 100%, but better than it was. Glad my daughter kept pressing me to get my hearing checked, and my sister suggested this location where they seemed to take a more personal approach to the treatment .

I feel like the woman that tested my ears did a very good job and she was very very nice.
